Volunteers judges for the Amazing Shake Gauntlet Competition. Each student goes through an obstacle course, spending one minute with each professional and completing a task. When the student walks away, the professional scores based on handshake, eye contact, confidence, task completion, etc.

About the event
Communities In Schools of Hampton Roads, local affiliate founded in 2012, provides holistic tiered supports to students and families. Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
Volunteers will be judges for Bayside 6th Grade Campus's Amazing Shake Gauntlet Competition. Each student goes through an obstacle course, spending one minute interacting with each professional and completing a task of choice whether by the professional or by the AMAZING Shake committee. The task presented to the student can relate to the volunteer's profession. When the student walks away, the professional scores the child based on handshake firmness, eye contact, confidence, common sense, completion of task, etc.
This is a great opportunity to connect our students to the business leaders and professionals in our community.
